Mechanical Field Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Field Operations Manager to join our team at Kiewit. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of mechanical field operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sub-contractor crews, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all operations related to mechanical field work, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Direct and supervise discipline craft supervisors and sub-contractors on site.
- Perform daily inspections of work performed, identifying and addressing any quality or safety issues.
- Provide job safety training and awareness for personnel, ensuring that all employees are aware of and comply with safety protocols.
- Establish and maintain accurate records of project progress, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Collaborate with project engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
- 8+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a mechanical superintendent or leadership capacity.
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other construction software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems, and to make sound decisions in a timely manner.
