Mechanical Field Operations Manager

Job Overview
Ganotec is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Field Manager to join our team. As a Mechanical Field Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our projects, overseeing the organization, work methods, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance of our mechanical operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan projects in a particular construction area, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Oversee all operations relating to a specific discipline/segment of work, including mechanical, piping, and electrical.
- Direct discipline craft supervisors/sub-contractors on site, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Perform daily inspections of work performed, identifying and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Provide job safety training and awareness for personnel, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Establish budgetary guidelines for the job, ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Establish quality standards for all jobs, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Manage and confirm information within the BIM Model is up to date and accurate.
- Assist the Project Engineer in administering subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 8+ years' construction experience, with 3+ years in a Mechanical Superintendent/Manager/Leadership capacity.
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Experience with BIM a must, 3-5 years preferred.
- Experience working on rail projects highly desirable.
- Ability to oversee multiple disciplines, including steel, piping, and mechanical.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
Requirements
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
- Perform work safely and effectively, understanding and following oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines, working overtime and weekends as required.
