Nursing Unit Leader

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Unit Leader to join our team at St. Vincent's Langara Long-Term Care in Vancouver, British Columbia.
As a Clinical Nurse Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day resident care activities of the nursing unit, supervising staff, and monitoring the resident acuity and flow of residents on the nursing unit.
In this role, you will act as a clinical resource to nursing staff, students, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional patient care.
With a strong focus on resident-centered care, you will participate in rounds/clinics, collaborate with nursing staff to determine needs for consultation, and arrange for consultation when required.
You will also provide input into the development, evaluation, and delivery of orientation, make recommendations regarding changes or new initiatives, and participate in the orientation of new employees.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the day-to-day resident care activities of the nursing unit
- Supervises staff, monitors resident acuity, and adjusts staffing levels as needed
- Acts as a clinical resource to nursing staff, students, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Participates in rounds/clinics, collaborates with nursing staff, and arranges for consultation
- Provides input into the development, evaluation, and delivery of orientation
Required Qualifications:
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Three years of recent related experience in long-term care
Compensation and Benefits:
- Estimated annual salary range: $80,000 - $110,000
