Join Our Taxation Team

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Tax Classification Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our taxation team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models to improve the accuracy of tax classification for our global customers.



About the Role


  • Develop and train machine learning models to improve tax classification accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with global tax legislations and regulations
  • Work with large language models to build predictive models and reason with system changes
  • Apply generative AI to model outcomes from sparse data


Requirements


  • PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, mathematics, statistics)
  • 5+ years of experience in building machine learning models for business applications
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and large-scale machine learning systems
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, or TensorFlow

Additional Information

The base salary for this position ranges from $195,900/year to $327,200/year, depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
