Join Disability Solutions as a Tax Specialist and play a critical role in reviewing tax returns for our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that tax returns are accurate and filed on time.

Salary

$45-$55 per hour (BC based on education, work experience, etc.)

About the Role

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will work closely with our team to review personal tax returns for Raymond James investment clients. Your expertise in Canadian taxation and proficiency in CCH TaxPrep, CRA online portal, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat will be essential in delivering high-quality results.

You will also be responsible for reviewing electronic working paper files of all tax documentation used to support the tax return, prior to filing. Providing review notes to tax return preparers and ensuring outstanding issues are resolved, prior to filing, will be another critical aspect of your role.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of public accounting firm experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Canadian taxation. A Canadian CPA Designation is also required. If you possess excellent communication skills, can work independently, and thrive in a team environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing personal tax returns for Raymond James investment clients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reviewing information gathered from clients, CRA online portal, and internal reports
  • Reviewing electronic working paper files of all tax documentation used to support the tax return, prior to filing
  • Providing review notes to tax return preparers and ensuring outstanding issues are resolved, prior to filing
  • Corresponding with clients or Financial Advisors/Agents to discuss outstanding information
  • Handling and responding to email enquiries related to tax returns
