Job Title: Social Worker

The St. Joseph's Care Group is seeking a highly organized and skilled Social Worker to join our interprofessional team in the Mental Health Outpatient Program. This is a full-time temporary position with a competitive hourly rate of $44.56 - $56.75.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with serious and persistent mental illness through assessments, treatment, and individual and group counselling.
  • Develop and implement holistic programming and evidenced-based practices.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to provide patient-centered care.
  • Provide training and experience in motivational interviewing and solution-focused methods.
  • Work with Indigenous worldviews, cultural practices, and understanding of the impact of colonization on Indigenous populations.
Requirements:
  • Masters of Social Work Degree and current registration with the OCSWSSW.
  • Knowledge and experience with referral processes and triage, decision guide processes and system navigation.
  • Training and experience in motivational interviewing and solution-focused methods.
  • Experience/training in a variety of evidence-based therapies such as solution-focused therapy, EMDR, CPT, CBT, DBT, and group therapies.
  • Knowledge and skills in a range of theoretical perspectives, psychosocial rehabilitation principles, self-management, and holistic wellness approaches.
