Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, ensuring that their experience is positive and that they feel valued.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries for the chef and work schedules.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
- Work Setting: Restaurant.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
