About the Role

Kamloops Electric Motor Sales & Services Ltd. is a leading provider of industrial motor sales and services in the B.C. interior. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our team and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the operations of the company, ensuring cohesion amongst all departments and meeting customer requirements.
  • Promote teamwork, open lines of communication, and a positive atmosphere for employees.
  • Utilize the strength of our product network to further growth for the company.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Play an active role in relationships between customers and the company.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, operations, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of management experience.
  • Strong business acumen and relationship building skills.
  • Quality program experience, such as ISO, CSA, UL, considered an asset.
  • Maintains the highest safety standards.
  • Experience in budget development and oversight.
  • Experience managing a team of professionals.
  • Ability to steer a conversation and engage an audience.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with strong diligence.
  • Professional collaborator with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and client-driven approach.
  • Upgrading, training in related disciplines such as safety, quality, leadership skills, technical ability.
  • Functioning knowledge of Six Sigma, DMAIC methodology.
  • Proficient computer experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office.
  • Industrial Service Business to Business background considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
