About the Role

CSTU is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Technician - Acting Early to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthy development of young children in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to assess the needs of children 0-6 years old
  • Design and implement individualized intervention plans to support children's development
  • Work closely with our team to provide comprehensive support services to children and families
  • Participate in crisis situations and provide emergency support as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services to support children's development
Requirements
  • College diploma in special education techniques or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children 0-6 years old with neurodevelopmental disorders
  • French and English bilingualism required
  • Knowledge of Inuktitut an asset
  • Experience working in remote areas an asset
  • Knowledge of Inuit culture and values an asset
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Good adaptability skills
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: $867.30 - $1,248.45 per week
  • Isolation premium: $203.66 per week
  • High living cost premium: $74.17 per week
  • Retention premium: $114.99 per week
