Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

Robert Half's successful Manufacturing client is seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Accounts Payable Clerk. This position offers the opportunity to take your career to the next level in a dynamic organization with a growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
  • Handle the administrative needs of the AP department
  • Provide customer service to internal business partners
  • Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
  • Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
  • Complete full-cycle A/P
  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
  • Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
  • Provide support during internal and external audit
Requirements:
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Answering Multi-Line Phone System experience
  • Enter Vendor Invoices experience highly preferred
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
