About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Primary Care Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Primary Health Care, you will work with a diverse group of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient education and making therapeutic recommendations to the medical team
  • Participating in interprofessional medical rounds and medication reconciliation
  • Identifying and resolving drug-related problems
  • Contributing to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services

You will also be responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems.

About You

We are looking for a Pharmacist with a strong background in pharmacy practice and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
  • Licensure to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
Hours and Compensation

This is a Permanent - Full-time position with a 75 hours bi-weekly schedule. You will be compensated at a rate of $53.24 Hourly.
