We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Primary Health Care team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.
Responsibilities will include working with a varied group of health professionals, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, completing medication reconciliation, participating in interprofessional medical rounds, providing patient education, and making therapeutic recommendations to the medical team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems (inpatient and outpatient) as well as contributing to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services.
About YouWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have:
- Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
- Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
- Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $53.24 per hour.
