Your expertise in social work will focus on the relationships between people and their environments, which are integral to psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. You will have 2 years of post-Bachelor's degree-related clinical experience and knowledge of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Previous experience working with clients with MHA concerns is preferred. You will also have demonstrated knowledge of various treatment theories and practice of harmful involvement, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and stages of change.

Responsibilities
  • Provide collaborative, holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum
  • Focus on the relationships between people and their environments
  • Use a client-/family-centered approach
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments
  • Work collaboratively with community partners
