Health Care Social Worker

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled Health Care Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. As a member of our team, you will provide collaborative, holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. A minimum of 2 years' post BSW related clinical experience is required, with previous experience working in a community-based setting being an asset.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to complete biopsychosocial assessments. They will also be able to assist patients and families with navigation of local community resources and agencies.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
