Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Childventures Early Learning Academy Inc.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will work under the supervision of early childhood educators to provide high-quality care and education to children in our daycare centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and engaging environment, assisting with daily routines, and supporting the development of children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment, including equipment and supplies.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote children's development.
  • Support children in their daily routines, including mealtime, rest periods, and outdoor play.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Criminal record check and tuberculosis test.
Work Environment:

The ECE Assistant will work in a fast-paced childcare centre with a team of dedicated early childhood educators. The successful candidate will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
