Job Summary:

Compassion Canada is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Fundraising Leader to join their team as Director of Philanthropic Engagement. This executive search is conducted by Nelson/Kraft & Associates on behalf of Compassion Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deepen, and diversify strategic individual partnerships to advance Compassion Canada's international philanthropic objectives.
  • Plan and execute innovative fundraising strategies to drive the organization's growth and impact.
  • Cultivate relationships with major donors and forge partnerships with foundations to expand Compassion's donor base.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize activities to achieve strategic goals.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office software (Office365) and customer relationship management and database/reporting software to track progress and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education and/or professional designation in fundraising or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Existing relationships and a positive reputation in the not-for-profit fundraising sector.
  • Continuous learning credentials in the area of expertise.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • French language fluency is an asset.

Location: Remote in Canada
