Job Title: Executive Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team and drive the mission of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame forward.

About the Role:

The Executive Director will provide strategic oversight and hands-on support across all CMHF programs, services, and exhibit areas, focusing on elevating the national visibility of the CMHF's mission and vision.

This is a hybrid role that requires a unique blend of leadership, fundraising, and operational skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership success and experience in leading innovative fundraising models to position organizations for long-term viability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission
  • Manage and direct financial plans, budgets, and programs
  • Collaborate with CMHF National Partners to achieve shared goals
  • Foster impactful community relationships and engage key stakeholders
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of proven senior leadership experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector, complemented by a relevant university degree.

They will possess strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, along with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be a respected, forward-thinking, and dynamic community leader with a proven track record of leadership success and experience in leading innovative fundraising models.
