Job Description
Critical Role: Data Analyst - Category Management
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Category Management team as a Data Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, pricing, and product line assortment for a category. Your expertise will help us make informed decisions that drive sales and profits through strategic insights.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and product line assortment for a category, utilizing historical and current data to inform business decisions.
  • Provide post-mortem analysis of category initiatives, summarizing key learnings from events, new product introductions, and promotions.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and collaborate with the team to increase understanding of customer/consumer wants, needs, and purchase behavior influencing category growth.
  • Support the development of presentations, such as training materials, product launches, and line reviews.
  • Collaborate with the category management team on special projects and manage workflow and inquiries from other functional teams.
  • Produce periodic and ad hoc customer or product analysis reporting.
  • Pursue additional job-related duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope:
This role demands expertise in data analysis techniques, resolving missing/incomplete information, and inconsistencies/anomalies in complex research/data. As an independent contributor, you will receive guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.

Work Environment:
You will be based in a comfortable indoor area, with minimal exposure to unpleasant conditions. Most of your time will be spent sitting comfortably, with frequent opportunities to move about. Occasional overnight travel (
