Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Management Director to join its Group Risk Management team. As a key member of the BCM Central Team, you will play a critical role in supporting RBC businesses with incident management routines and real-time incidents.

Job Description

The Business Continuity Management Director will be responsible for managing the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives, monitoring and controlling activities according to plan, and continuously identifying potential issues, conflicts, and risks. You will prepare business BCM Advisors for potential business disruptions through effective incident management guidance and routines, communication, and reporting processes.

You will also coordinate tactical BCM activities, including conducting BCM exercises to validate planning assumptions and test controls, triaging incident calls during assigned BCM Pager rotation, and supporting global business units 24/7/365. Additionally, you will have the ability to travel to different work area recovery locations within the GTA region and support business operations with an onsite presence starting from 3-4 days a week.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To be successful in this role, you must have a College or University degree in Business Administration, Technology, or BCM and Emergency Management (ABCP or CBCP). You should have a high level of proficiency in written and oral communication skills, along with strong presentation skills, and the ability to determine the information and communication needs of stakeholders and projects.

Experience in leading and supporting large business incident management teams and projects, as well as proficiency in leveraging and using MS Office tools, Everbridge, and ServiceNow, are essential. A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting RBC business units in an operations or technology-related environment is required.
