Hollyburn Family Services is a well-established organization in North Vancouver, dedicated to supporting youth with barriers to employment. We are seeking an Employment Program Participant to join our team as part of our Rewired program.

As an Employment Program Participant, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable employment and life skills through a 12-week program. The program includes 4 weeks of group training, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, and an 8-week work experience/apprenticeship placement. You will be paid based on minimum wage during this time.

The Rewired program is specifically designed for youth aged 16-29 who face barriers to employment. If you lack work experience or employment skills and need assistance finding work or returning to school, this program may be suited for you.

We offer one-to-one employment support to help you achieve your goals. Our program focuses on developing the skills and tools needed to find work, return to school, or a combination of both.

Key aspects of the program include:

  • A 12-week employment program with a 4-week group training component and an 8-week work experience/apprenticeship placement
  • Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm training sessions
  • Minimum wage compensation during the program
  • One-to-one employment support to help you achieve your goals

We estimate that successful candidates can expect to earn approximately $19.00 per hour, based on a standard 35-hour workweek. This translates to a total estimated annual salary of around $39,728.
