About the Role

FYidoctors Williams Lake clinic is seeking an exceptional Optical Sales Associate to join our team. As a critical member of our success, you will deliver world-class service to our patients, often being the first point of contact. You must be passionate about people and driven to provide an exceptional customer experience.

This is a full-time, permanent role working up to 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality
  • Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions and assisting with the selection of frames to suit their aesthetic and performance needs
  • Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
  • Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear and performing repairs and adjustments to returning patients'
  • Placing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittings
  • Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
  • Billing the patient, their medical service provider, and other third parties
  • Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and billing and payments
  • Warmly greeting patients as they enter our clinic
  • Upholding excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skills

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, preferably retail environment (preferred)
  • Previous optical experience is considered an asset
  • Passionate about customer service
  • A high level of comfort using technology and computers
  • A great communicator who can provide exceptional patient care
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
