Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Office Administrator to join our team at SCI. As an Office Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our funeral home, cemetery, and crematory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the operational activities of our funeral home, cemetery, and crematory services.
  • Ensure the highest quality services and products to satisfy the needs of our clients and their families.
  • Oversee the accounting function, including collections, verifications, and payments of accounts receivable and payable.
  • Control the receipt and deposit of cash payments, maintain petty cash accounts, and reconcile all accounts.
  • Coordinate the processing of orders, receipt of merchandise, and control of storage inventory.
  • Support location management to ensure all contracts and work orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing and overseeing all funeral and cemetery-related forms.
  • Review time cards and administer corporate payroll policies and procedures.
  • Administer local Human Resources processes, including new hire paperwork and employee files.
  • Ensure new associates receive new hire orientation and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of bookkeeping, general office, clerical accounting, and Accounts Payable experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High level of compassion, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to multitask and set priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and flexible to function in a fast-paced environment.
