About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Akropolis 5 Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation

Direct and oversee the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Inventory Management

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock levels to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Reporting and Record-Keeping

Prepare and submit reports on food sales, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Communication and Teamwork

Establish and maintain effective communication with kitchen staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure that we are working together to achieve our goals.

Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and contribute to the development of a welcoming and inclusive work environment.

Requirements
  • Education

College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.

Experience

At least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Language

Fluent in English.

Work Term

Permanent.

Hours

40 hours per week.
