Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Receptionist/Clerk/Typist to join the Medical Imaging Clerical team at Vancouver General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient files, inputting and maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in a computerized database system.
- Operate various equipment, including printers and scanners, to produce and distribute radiology images.
- Collect and distribute mail, dictation tapes, and reports within the department.
- Perform typing and word processing duties, utilizing software to create and edit documents.
- Investigate and correct errors in patient information, utilizing radiology and hospital information systems.
Requirements
- Grade 12, plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work and prioritize tasks.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
