Job Summary

RNG Roofing is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate and move materials on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation, and operate heavy equipment to excavate and move materials.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Measure and Record: Measure distance, volume, length, and weight, and complete onboard and other logs to track progress and ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate Effectively: Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, and develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, with relocation costs covered by the employer.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
