Accounts Payable Manager

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department, supporting office managers and Executive Directors, and ensuring timely and proper reporting to the corporate reporting team.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the accounts payable department and ensure efficient cash management of Long-Term Care and Retirement homes.
- Monitor monthly performance metrics, guide key team members to meet goals, and ensure timely reporting to the corporate team.
- Perform monthly closing activities for the AP function and oversee cheque runs and EFT payments.
- Support the development of policies and procedures for the department and work with operations to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Prepare AP reporting packages for management and assist with audit requests.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a high-volume AP role.
- Proven supervisory experience is an asset.
- Post-secondary in areas of business, accounting, or related field considered an asset.
- Experience with Sage Intacct is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.
- An in-depth understanding of the senior care continuum is considered an asset.
- An analytical mind and good math skills.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Professional certification (e.g. CAPP) is a plus.
