Accounts Payable Lead

Job Summary:
Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Lead to join our corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, including cash management, remittances, compliance, and audit support.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounts payable function, including cash management and remittances.
- Monitor monthly performance metrics and guide key team members to meet goals.
- Perform monthly closing activities for the AP function.
- Oversee cheque runs and EFT payments.
- Support the development of policies and procedures for the department.
- Work with operations to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Prepare AP reporting packages for management.
- Assist with audit requests.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role.
- Proven supervisory experience is preferred.
- Post-secondary in areas of business, accounting or related field considered an asset.
- Experience with Sage Intacct is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.
- An in-depth understanding of the senior care continuum is considered an asset.
- An analytical mind and good math skills.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Professional certification (e.g. CAPP) is a plus.
