Job Summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Service Worker to join our team at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre. As a key member of our support services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide housekeeping and food service to patients and staff
  • Perform porter/laundry services, supply replenishment, equipment maintenance, and transportation
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Provide customer service and respond to patient and staff needs
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required
  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license is desired
  • Ability to work safely and prioritize daily work/competing deadlines
  • Ability to work on own and within a team, with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and equipment, as well as food preparation and safety
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions

  • Must be physically able to do heavy lifting or carrying, work on feet for eight (8) hour shifts, work at heights and/or in varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to work in a plating assembly at a constant, average pace
  • Physically capable of manual labour (heavy and intensive at times)
