The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Support Service Worker to provide services to patients, staff, and community partners at Selkirk Mental Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean environment, providing food service, and performing porter/laundry services, supply replenishment, equipment maintenance, transportation, and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide housekeeping and food service to patients, staff, and community partners
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Perform porter/laundry services, supply replenishment, equipment maintenance, transportation, and security
  • Work safely and follow established protocols
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required
  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license desired
  • Ability to prioritize daily work and competing deadlines
  • Ability to work safely and follow established protocols
  • Interpersonal and communication skills essential
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and equipment essential
  • Knowledge of food preparation and equipment essential

Working Conditions:

  • Physically able to do heavy lifting or carrying
  • Work on feet for eight (8) hour shifts
  • Work at heights and/or in varying environmental conditions
  • Work varying shifts and weekends, including statutory holidays
