Job Summary

The Service Desk at Natural Resources Canada is seeking a skilled technician to provide technical support to internal end-users. The successful candidate will record, prioritize, and resolve common informatics problems over the phone, by remote access, and in-person onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to internal clients
  • Record, prioritize, and resolve common informatics problems
  • Use remote support tools to connect, analyze, and resolve IT issues
  • Support, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office suite and Windows 10 desktop operating system
  • Work in an IT Service Desk environment

Requirements

  • Graduation from a two-year program of study in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Recent experience in providing technical support in an IT Service Desk environment
  • Experience using remote support tools and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and TCP/IP networking
  • Ability to communicate effectively and troubleshoot IT technical issues

Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team environment, providing technical support to a large number of internal clients. They will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
