Director of Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead our team at Connecting Dots - Clairmont. This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week.

Job Description
  • In this role, you will be responsible for allocating resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • You will also authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Additionally, you will coordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments, establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions.
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 people.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate should have flexibility, be organized, and possess excellent teamwork skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Familiarity with diversity and cross-cultural trainings, as well as awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, is preferred.
