Key Responsibilities:- Process and monitor incoming payments, ensuring timely and accurate recording of cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Verify and post receipts, maintaining accurate records and updating receivables as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, obtaining information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and customers as needed.
- Enter adjusting entries to resolve valid or authorized deductions, and follow pending deductions procedures for invalid or unauthorized deductions.
- Coordinate with the collections department to resolve collections, examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit line.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including invoice accounts and monthly transfers to the accounts receivable account.
- Prepare and verify reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent business experience.
- Proven working experience as an accounts receivable clerk, manager, or accountant.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software, such as JDE or other full-scale ER software.
- Proficiency in English and MS Office.
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
