Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Ottawa area. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payments, assisting with month-end closing procedures, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
Requirements:
  • A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of prior work experience in a similar role.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
