About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Investor Services Finance team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with various tasks that need to be completed by 2025 Summer.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will assist in the end-to-end IS Performance Management Reporting mandate, including weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis cycles. They will also support the development of monthly and quarterly financial summaries and presentations for senior management and business leaders.

In addition, they will assist with the Plan and Forecast process by supporting the production and distribution of meaningful reporting for senior management, providing key insights on revenue trends, cost transparency, and macroeconomic sensitivities. The ideal candidate will also develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support strategic and regulatory reviews, including enterprise-wide stress testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the end-to-end IS Performance Management Reporting mandate
  • Support the development of monthly and quarterly financial summaries and presentations
  • Assist with the Plan and Forecast process
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models
  • Continuously improve, streamline, and automate processes
  • Assist and provide support on various projects and ad-hoc analysis as required

Requirements:

  • Interest in learning more about Finance or a closely related function and gaining Finance experience
  • Good Excel skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and proven analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure
  • High degree of initiative and solution-based attitude
  • Experience analyzing large sets of financial data
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interested in pursuing CFA, CPA (CA/CMA/CGA), or equivalent Finance designation
  • Knowledge of Investor Services business
