Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, Purchasing, and Legal Affairs, the Paralegal will handle a variety of administrative duties and contribute to drafting various correspondence and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate documents and maintain accurate corporate records.
  • Draft, edit, review, and update legal documents such as franchise agreements, confidentiality agreements, and commercial contracts.
  • Monitor deadlines and legal requirements for various tasks.
  • Manage renewals, transfers, and leases.
  • Maintain the company's contract and legal document database.
  • Oversee the trademark portfolio.
  • Conduct searches in public registers.
  • Provide legal and administrative support across projects.
  • Perform additional relevant tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • College diploma in legal studies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, business, and real estate law.
  • Proficiency in both English and French, written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Familiarity with the restaurant/franchise industry is advantageous.
