At Cora Restaurants, we're seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our Business Development and Legal Affairs department, you'll play a vital role in supporting our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain corporate documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Draft, review, and update various legal documents, including franchise agreements, confidentiality agreements, and commercial contracts;
  • Manage and track renewals, transfers, and leases, ensuring timely compliance with deadlines;
  • Develop and maintain our trademark portfolio, ensuring brand protection and compliance;
  • Conduct research and analysis on various public registers, including the REGIE du logement, the Registraire des entreprises du Québec, and the land registry;
  • Provide administrative and legal support in various files, ensuring seamless execution of tasks;
  • Other related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in legal technique or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate law, business development, or a related field;
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate, business, and real estate law, with a strong understanding of franchise law;
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite software, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of the restaurant and/or franchise industry is an asset.
