Cora Restaurants is a leading Canadian breakfast franchise with over 125 locations across the country. We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team in a key role that combines business and legal expertise.

About the Role

The Paralegal will report to the VP Business Development, Purchasing and Legal Affairs and will be responsible for various administrative tasks and legal document preparation. This includes drafting, editing, and reviewing franchise agreements, confidentiality agreements, commercial contracts, and other legal documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate documents and maintain up-to-date corporate records;
  • Draft, edit, and review legal documents, including franchise agreements and commercial contracts;
  • Manage and track renewals, transfers, and leases;
  • Manage and maintain the company's database of contracts and legal documents;
  • Search public registers and provide administrative and legal support in various files;
  • Other related tasks.

Requirements

  • College diploma in legal technique;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Good knowledge of corporate, business, and real estate law;
  • Excellent command of English and French, both oral and written;
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite software;
  • Knowledge of the restaurant and/or franchise industry (asset).
