About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Nathan's Jerk. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase our Caribbean and Latin American cuisine, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Food Preparation and Presentation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Staff Management and Training

Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional food and service.

Inventory Management and Ordering

Manage inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.

Quality Control and Assurance

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a restaurant or similar establishment.

Language and Communication

Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment and Conditions

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a high level of physical activity and standing for extended periods.
