Retail Store Supervisor Job Description
At SHELL CANADA, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
- Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Order merchandise and ensure that it is stored and displayed in a way that is visually appealing to customers.
- Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure that customers have a positive experience.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to ensure that the store is running efficiently.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is always stocked with the necessary merchandise.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
