Retail Store Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Shell Canada. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales workers and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their job duties.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is delivered to the store in a timely manner.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed efficiently.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to ensure that the store is operating efficiently.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers to ensure that the store is operating smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Reliability and flexibility.
