Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Paramedic to join our team at Emergency Medical Care Inc. As a key member of our emergency medical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Treat Patients: Assess the extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment, administer pre-hospital emergency care, and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients.
  • Transport Patients: Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care.
  • Document and Record: Document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided.
  • Collaborate with Hospital Personnel: Assist hospital personnel with provision of medical treatment, if necessary.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence: Possess a valid Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles and buses with fewer than 24 passengers).
  • Ambulance Driver's Licence: Possess a valid ambulance driver's licence.
  • CPR Certificate: Possess a valid CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal Record Check: Pass a criminal record check.
  • Driver's Validity Licence Check: Pass a driver's validity licence check.
  • Medical Exam: Pass a medical exam.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks. The successful candidate must be physically demanding and have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to distinguish between colours.
