Job Overview

EHN Canada is a leading provider of mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment services in Canada. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role

The LPN will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessments, treatment management, and medication prescription to clients with mental health and addiction-related issues. You will be required to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver client care according to the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan standards
  • Provide ongoing client care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Formulate and implement client care plans
  • Maintain current progress records on clients according to legal and ethical standards
  • Decide and initiate on course of action in case of medical emergencies
  • Provide supportive counselling to clients, families, and/or significant others on typical recovery issues
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment on the unit conducive to the client learning productive patterns of living
  • Provide ongoing health teaching to clients in relation to common health problems and the clients maintaining a healthy lifestyle
  • Actively participate with team members in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of the client and his care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses with pharmacological training
  • Licensed Practical Nurse registered in the Province of Saskatchewan
  • Knowledge of / experience with a team-based person-centered care approach
