**Job Summary**
Queen's University is seeking a visionary Academic Leader to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and CEO of the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO). As a respected academic leader, you will be responsible for fostering an environment that promotes world-class research, excellence in teaching and clinical practice, and student, faculty, and staff success.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the Faculty's operations, including strategy, budget, human resources, external relations, and fund development.
- Lead the Faculty's three schools: the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Rehabilitation Therapy, promoting collaboration and interdisciplinary programming.
- Oversee the Faculty's 794 employees, 600 full-time faculty members, and 480 SOM academic clinicians, as well as 1107 adjunct faculty members.
- As CEO of SEAMO, oversee the organization's operations, including its Alternative Funding Plan, supporting 13 Departments and 450+ physicians in delivering outstanding healthcare, research, and education.
- Collaborate with the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) to advance the University's goals and objectives.
**Requirements**
- MD (or equivalent) degree; an advanced research-based degree is an asset.
- Significant profile in the national and international medical and health sciences communities.
- Exemplary record of academic administration at a top research-intensive institution.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and track record of pioneering innovation in programs and revenue sources.
