**Job Summary**
Queen's University is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Education. As a key member of the university's senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the Faculty's strategic direction, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting the university's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Faculty, aligning with the university's overall goals and objectives
- Lead and manage a team of senior administrators, faculty members, and staff to achieve the Faculty's mission and objectives
- Foster a culture of excellence in research, teaching, and service, and promote the Faculty's reputation as a leader in education
- Develop and manage the Faculty's budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial sustainability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Faculty and the university, and develop strategies to address systemic barriers and promote access and equity
**Requirements**
- Ph.D. in Education or a related field
- Proven track record of senior academic and administrative leadership in education or a related field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and developing strategies to address systemic barriers
