Senior Mechanical Engineer Commercial Mixed Use Position

Partner Staffing is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and delivery of mechanical systems for commercial and mixed-use projects.
You will work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for commercial and mixed-use buildings, ensuring designs meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing all phases from concept design through construction and commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, reviewing and approving design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and contractors, to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs, participating in coordination meetings and contributing to integrated design processes.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles into mechanical system designs, identifying opportunities for energy efficiency and environmentally responsible solutions.
- Serve as the primary mechanical engineering point of contact for clients, presenting design concepts, providing technical advice, and addressing client concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Master's degree or specialized training in building systems engineering is an asset.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on commercial and mixed-use projects.
- Proficient in mechanical design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical system design, energy modeling, and sustainability principles.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in British Columbia is required.
