Electrical Design Engineer for Commercial Projects

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for creating electrical designs that meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and mixed-use buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical designs with other building systems.
- Provide advanced technical expertise in electrical engineering, mentoring junior engineers and technicians and reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into electrical designs, exploring innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption and enhance system performance.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations, presenting design concepts and providing technical recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the quality control process for electrical design and installation, conducting site inspections to ensure systems are installed according to design specifications and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on commercial and mixed-use projects.
- Experience in the Vancouver or BC market is preferred.
- Proficient in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Certified Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in British Columbia.
