About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join our team as a Senior Counsel, Commercial Law. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our clients in the commercial law sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients in the commercial law sector
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support investigations and litigation
  • Prepare and conduct enforcement proceedings before the Ontario Securities Commission and Commercial List
  • Work closely with senior litigation counsel to support or participate in complex hearings/trials
  • Advise on policy matters affecting the Commission's mandate to enforce Ontario securities law
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • On your feet litigation experience in securities-related matters
  • In-depth knowledge of criminal law and/or administrative law and/or securities law
