About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Projects Coordinator to join our team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing capital projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage capital projects, including refurbishment and infrastructure projects
  • Work closely with the ownership group, project stakeholders, and hotel departments to ensure successful project execution
  • Assist department heads with planning, approvals, and workflows for operating and technology capital projects
  • Maintain relationships with various departments to facilitate project coordination
  • Coordinate with hotel departments and contractors to minimize business interruption
  • Work with the Director of Engineering and contractors to execute capital projects
  • Manage and track contractor packages, documentation, reservations, and health & safety protocols
  • Process capital projects invoices and reconcile project budgets
  • Assist with gathering documents for audits and maintain organized records

Requirements:

  • Project management experience and understanding of project timelines and scopes
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including operating departments and core functions
  • Familiarity with facilities components and building systems (HVAC, electrical, etc.)
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn internet-based applications
  • Excellent note-taking and digital archiving skills
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Fundamental accounting and budget management experience
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
