Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Risk Manager to join our Equipment Financing team at Royal Bank of Canada. In this role, you will play a critical part in the success of our business by effectively identifying and managing risks associated with equipment financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and effective lease solutions to clients.
  • Work closely with Equipment Financing Specialists and Commercial Advisory Group (CAG) or Group Risk Management to ensure any risks associated with equipment financing transactions are identified and mitigated in accordance with RBC's equipment financing product policies and guidelines.
  • Analyze financial data and risk assessments to make informed decisions and drive sustainable growth through prudent transaction management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational effectiveness and manage risk exposure.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience in commercial lease financing, with a strong understanding of credit and administration processes.
  • Broad general knowledge of equipment values, rates of depreciation, useful life, and application.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment appraisals and security registration in Canada.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
