About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Coast Capital. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct inspections and identify potential issues to prevent downtime and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of contractors and tradespeople to complete projects and repairs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to requests and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance and repair processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • High School Diploma plus completion of a Certificate Program (equivalent to one full year or 10 courses).
  • Recognized training courses in technical skills and trades that apply to Facilities Management and Building Operations.
  • A valid British Columbia Driver's License, possessing and maintaining a responsible and safe driving record.
  • Broad construction or Facilities maintenance-related work experience.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills for resolving maintenance and repair-related issues within a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Must demonstrate patience and tact, maintaining a professional manner at all times.
  • Must have the ability to deal cooperatively and communicate effectively with people in a wide variety of circumstances.
